About Us

We are all about the best of quality, best of knowledge, and providing this in a family-friendly way because the team here at Elizabeth Humphreys Homes is like a family.

A message from Elizabeth...

Elizabeth Humphreys Homes is something that I have forever wanted to do, it’s always been in my heart. We have many years of experience in the housing industry, from new builds, park homes, and residential and commercial sales. In the past, I have worked in either high street companies or under other brands, but in reality I’ve been told by many clients that the brand is me and my team and it is now time to make the obvious step… which is Elizabeth Humphreys Homes.

We are all about customer service and not penny-pinching, we want the complete freedom to serve our clients in the best way possible. When our clients are selling probably the most expensive item that they will ever own, it is about getting the best price, value for money, and customer service alongside providing the best knowledge and getting the job done right.

We are all about the best of quality, best of knowledge, and providing this in a family-friendly way because the team here at Elizabeth Humphreys Homes is like a family.

I have worked in property and sales for the whole of my working life. I started selling new-build homes for my parents before I was 16. Aside from a couple of diversions into selling equestrian supplements and telecoms services, the rest of my time has been spent with property, where I’ve worked at then managed my parents building company, sold park homes across multiple sites, managed my long-term holiday lets, and managed an HMO. The last twelve years have been spent exclusively in estate agency, working both on the high street and under franchise brands.

I’ve been successful at growing all the estate agents I’ve worked at in terms of properties listed and properties sold. I’ve taken two companies from almost no presence in my part of Northumberland to being regularly top for properties listed and properties sold. There are several reasons for this; offering advice on changes for property owners to make to achieve the best price possible, staging homes well, taking excellent photographs (after all, most people’s first viewing happens online these days, so photos and presentation are really important), steering properties at every stage from initial valuation right through to completion, and always looking for new ways of selling homes (such as video walk-throughs, social media posts or 360° tours).

We can help people who are selling properties from a distance and manage house clearances right through to completion of the house sale. This may be required when people are selling properties that have been left to them by deceased relatives or where relatives are in care homes etc.

The Elizabeth Humphreys Homes team offers a high-quality service to home sellers in Northumberland and buyers worldwide.

I’ve lived in Northumberland all my life, apart from a couple of years at college in Lincolnshire. I currently live in Swarland in a home I share with my husband, two dogs, three tanks of fish, two guinea pigs, two hamsters, and my beautiful flock of birds. In any spare time I have, I love walking the dogs around Swarland Woods or along one of Northumberland’s many wonderful beaches, and when the night draws in I love watching films. I also enjoy international travel, and I love trying food from around the world.

I have worked with my wife Elizabeth for four years now. Before this I worked in data, which is a real passion of mine. I am the one that dots the I’s and crosses the T’s here at Elizabeth Humphreys Homes, you might speak to me on the phone or meet me at a viewing. I live by the saying honesty is the best policy.

Demi Lee Chambers

Negotiator & Valuer

I was born in Alnwick and lived there for 28 years before moving to a little village near the Scottish Borders. I currently live with my little Shih Tzu Matilda, my four bunnies: Dolly, Lenny, Gideon and Ronald and my lovely little hamster Tim Tims! Having lived and worked in the area for such a long time, I have extensive local knowledge both professionally and personally.

Property is my passion. I have worked in the industry for over 11 years. My first years as a negotiator were at Coast & Castle Estate Agents, where Liz and I first met and have been best friends ever since.

Outside of work, you will find me in the countryside, either walking with Matilda or out with the horses. Another passion of mine is rabbits; I support the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund to help educate and change the way rabbits are kept as pets.

Accompanied Viewer & Receptionist

I started my estate agency career in 1985 at 16 in Redcar, North Yorkshire, on a YTS or Youth Training Scheme. I instantly knew that helping people was my mission in life, especially when it came to property. I have been happily involved in this role from negotiating to progressing sales and I can honestly say that there is never a dull moment, and I love it!

My hobbies are travelling and staying in our beautiful caravan in the rolling hills with my husband Roger and my gorgeous dogs Pip, Milo and Ru.

Amanda Lambert

List Writer

I am a qualified Primary School teacher with 22 years’ experience, 9 of which were as a Deputy Head.  Although I love teaching all subjects my specialism is English.

At present, I have taken a career break to raise our two daughters and to help run the family business: Oliver Lambert Electrical Contractor.

Had I not chosen a career in teaching, I would have liked to have been an interior designer.  List writing combines my interest in property and design with my love of language perfectly!

When I am not working, I like to spend time with my husband and children, go swimming, read a good book, or walk in the gorgeous Northumberland countryside with our little dog, Rusty.

I have lived in Alnwick all of my life and my husband is a well-known local builder, hence my interest in and knowledge about homes. I live with my husband Darren, my Shih Tzu Lissy and my cat Inka.

In my spare time I like to get away on breaks and holidays, I also like visiting my daughter walking the dogs helping her with the animals, we both have a love for rabbits and Shih Tzu’s!

Accompanied Viewer & Video Tour Operator

After a varied career in customer service roles, I took a break from corporate life to raise my two boys. When they were older, I spent ten enjoyable years running my holiday cottages. When I had the opportunity to work for Elizabeth Humphreys Homes I jumped at the chance. It’s a great job, combining three of my great loves; travelling round the stunning county of Northumberland, showing wonderful properties and meeting great people.

When I’m not working, I go for long walks with my German Pointer and support Newcastle United.

Accompanied Viewer & Social Media Assistant

I was raised in Rothbury for 16 years before moving to Morpeth with my family. My dad is a builder, so I have always had an input in property which is where my passion for the industry has come from and now I work part time for Elizabeth Humphreys Homes.

When I am not working, you will find me on the beach walking my chihuahua or cutting shapes on the dance floor in Newcastle.
